‘Moira Stewart Reading the News in the 80s’. - pastel on paper Part of a series of naïf celebrity portraits made in 2016. I made these works as an expression of authenticity and vulnerability. I am inspired by the world of fan art and especially the subculture of slash art and fiction where women create erotic works about their favourite characters, for each other.
